Infection Prevention and Control
NUPAS is fully committed to the prevention and control of infection. We have policies and systems in place to ensure that the risk of infection to our patients is minimised. We also have an infection control committee which is responsible for providing an infection control service to NUPAS as well as developing and implementing policies to provide guidance and protect our patients and staff from the risk of infection.
NUPAS employs a Specialist Nurse who has received specialist training in infection prevention and control. They provide the organisation with clinical advice on all matters relating to infection prevention and control. We undertake regular audits of cleanliness and infection prevention to ensure continued high standards of care.
Our Clostridium difficile and MRSA, MSSA and E coli blood stream infection rates remain at zero.
If you would like any further information related to Infection Control and you would like to talk to a member of the Infection Control Team, you can contact them by calling or emailing NUPAS.
